you see…i’ve always adored toy cameras. but i found over time that i was living the life of a snail, carrying every piece of art belonging that i owned with me wherever i went, should a jolt of inspiration hit me. i loved the thought that anywhere i went, at anytime of day, i could pull out my sketchbook, my pencils, my paints, and any one of four cameras out of my bag. and that in theory, was heaven. but as time went by, i realized that not only did i look like a complete whackamabob pulling random objects out of my bag, but some items fell so far into the depths of my bags that i almost forgot they were there. so i cleaned up my act, and my bags a bit and learned to leave certain items at home. the problem with that was that two of those items were my toy cameras, little bits that left me yearning for those blurry, what the heck am i gonna get type of shots. fast forward a year or two when i discovered that the iphone had an app for that…who knew?! the rest since then has been history. for less than five bucks for both apps, i have had hours of endless fun and have gotten some really great photos out of them. so for those of you who are fans of the toy camera (is there anyone who isn’t) and who have one of them there handy dandy iphones, i oooooberly recommend checking out both quad camera as well as toy camera. and if it tickles your fancy, swing by and check out some recent shots i took from an afternoon in coney island…
